Complete cloud cover around midnight and I can go outside and see mice, opossums, raccoons, deer, beavers, and whatever else might put off heat. If you're rural and have a bit of land I suggest getting something cheap to look around. I have a RIX K2 pocket thermal and an AGM 25-384 V2 scope. Both are amazing for what they do.
Also RIP CentralTexasCrude I kind of remember him.
Thermal optics are awesome.
