I was hoping AZ State would pull it out in OT. Their RB is fun to watch.

Texas is going to get smashed.

I think Notre Dame pulls it out and then loses to Ohio State in final.

Arizona St lost that game. They had it, and lost it.

They need to fix the seedings for next year. Idiotic that the top team in the country had to play OSU in the quarters

Boise State had a bye week. Ohio State was #8.

But at the end of it, you aren't going to get a more fair system than they have now. Ohio State beating Georgia wasn't a fluke if they went on to win the whole thing.

Under the old system Ohio State would have been playing in some bowl game that didn't matter and Georgia would have been playing Oregon for Nat'l Champs.

I like the current system but I think teams that win the bye should have the option to defer and play if they choose to. The bye would go to the next team, who could also Defer it and so on.

There seems to be a common theme in high level sports that playing it consistently for weeks on end, then resting to jump back into competition a week later against the other top competitors is actually not an advantage.
