Wrong. Taxes are necessary for the smooth running of our services and government for the benefit of all of our citizens. Hence why I used to rag on capt so much about not paying his.
Conservatives (I realize you said Republicans and that they are clearly not always the same but I thought I'd just clarify) just dont like to see our tax dollars wasted. Nothing more; nothing less. I think you can agree that the governmental behemoth isnt exactly a finely tuned model of efficiency. Taxes are obviously necessary and we will pay what we legally are supposed to. I think where you and many Liberals get confused is that Conservatives believe that simply throwing more money at something doesnt equal success. Especially if the money already being thrown at the problem is being used inefficiently or incorrectly.

Like I said about Obama when he first got notice on the public platform, Beto needs to put his time into other government service before trying to go for the big prize. I'll be happy to: I think its absolute bullshit when corporations pay no taxes if they are turning a profit. Unless, of course, that is a pre-arranged agreement with a city, state etc. They need to pay just like anybody else and loopholes need to be closed. I dont like it when they pay no taxes but if that is their legal obligation then the problem lies within the tax code that allows it; not the entity obeying the law. It seems to me you are confusing inefficient or incorrect use of our tax dollars with legally paying what is owed. Not sure how you are equating those two things.
