Wow. What a killer fucking show. Pretty much all around awesomeness. Ian McShane as bad guy Al Swearengen is fucking fantastic as are the rest of the cast with the exception of Olyphant's Seth Bullock. Unless he's playing it wooden and uninspiring, that is. If that's the case he fucking nailed it. If not, the rest of the cast is good enough to overcome it. Solid writing, great sets and near perfect casting. I'm only through season 1 but I hope the rest is just as good.
If you havent watched it or are thinking about it I'd give it 4.5 out of five cheese wedges (so far).

Except for the show ending after only 2 seasons on a cliffhanger. Anybody ever hear what caused that? Salary demands?, Studio interference?, whatever.
I think I read at the time it was originally cancelled just because it cost a shit ton of money to make. Awesome show. I thought Olyphant's dead wooden performance was deliberate too, portraying an old west dude who thought that's how he had to act. Swidgin stole the show though.
Another show resurrected soon. David Chase's film "The Many Saints of Newark". Prequel to "The Sopranos". Tony as a young member breaking into the Mob.
So the Pinkertons just arrived to stir up some shit. Hearst is being a complete dickwad, Jane and Joanie are lesboqueers, Swearengen is proving to be a lovable asshole and Bullock is still trying to be the moral compass.
I've only got like 3 episodes left and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be pissed when this fucking show ends.

I agree with Cheezy: Kim Dickens needs me to give her a proper "dickens".

OH YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!? THIS IS THE END!!!!!???
Hmmm, I've wanted to see it but with this reaction idk not all that.
Oh, it's still a fantastic show; it just leaves you hanging. If you're home I'd certainly recommend a binge-fest.
Ya, it's still worth a watch. It's got some Shakespearean undertones.
Love Wu! After Al "I steal every scene I"m in" Swerengen, Wu just might have been my next favorite.
My favorite Al moment: as he's watching Jewel lumber up the stairs he mutters "Every step a fucking adventure." I wonder how much of Al's dialogue was scripted and how much was ad-lib.
